The two hour session later this month will include lots of information and inspiration plus five ready-made projects plans to take away!
Join us at the University of Sheffield on the 24th June 2025 4-6pm. Book your free place online: bit.ly/makermusicworkshop
Specifically designed to support teachers, librarians and community leaders our workshop will:
Introduce the four elements of music: rhythm, melody, harmony, and timbre
Explore music by making recycled instruments
Introduce the basics of writing and performing rap lyrics
Show you how to use spiral composition scores and rhythm squares to write and record a composition (using free Apps if tablets/devices are available)
There will be a chance to get making and try out the activities before taking away your ready made project plans to use with children and families.
The Maker{Music} project has been made possible by generous support from the Sarah Nulty Power of Music Foundation, which aims to celebrate and support people to experience the transformative power of music.
