The STEP Forward programme is built on the belief that achieving a clean energy future requires engagement across all ages and stages of learning.

Our programme is designed to create meaningful impact across communities, with design input from young people, engineers and teachers within those same communities. 

The positive impact of the project on students was particularly important. Highlighting diversity in engineering and the range of engineering careers and building confidence in STEM through our hands-on class projects inspired young minds to consider a future in STEM. Across communities, schools and families, we also built awareness of Fusion energy and the proposed world-first fusion power plant and generated excitement around the theme of sustainable energy.
