British Science Week 2024

750 children took part in our maker workshops over three action-packed days for this year's British Science Week.

We were excited to bring our mobile maker space to High Hazels Academy in Sheffield and Grange Lane Infant Academy in Doncaster. Grange Lane are also working towards their Bronze Maker{School} award.

Our pupil activity workshops offer a wide variety of STEM/STEAM based activities, differentiated for learning levels and abilities.

Children are encouraged to choose what interests them and move freely around the activity stations which include electronics, woodwork, robotics, cardboard construction, weaving and digital creativity.

The process of creating, tinkering, testing and modifying allows children to develop the skills they need to solve complex problems and we encourage them to use the Maker{Cycle} - Look, Think, Make, Test.

Our thanks to Professors Anna Beresin and Jackie Marsh for joining the team for these events!
